For our Delaware River canoe trip, we rented a canoe at Edge of the Woods Outfitters in Delaware Water Gap, PA. We called ahead and scheduled our trip for the weekend. The folks at Edge of the Woods were very knowledgable and showed us a map of the river and gave us an idea what to expect. They provided life vests, gave us a ride to the river and dropped our canoe right on the riverbank for us.
We were well prepared and brought sunblock, snacks and plenty of water. The four mile paddle took us a couple hours. The scenery was beautiful and we paddled by many families swimming and rafting in the river. We would highly recommend this trip and Edge of the Woods Outfitters. If you want to do something a little different than hunting waterfalls in the Delaware Water Gap area a canoe or kayak trip on the Delaware River is a great choice.
