Today we visited Ausable Chasm near Keesville, NY. This “Grand Canyon of the Adirondacks” surely lives up to its name! We spent the morning hiking through the gorge, and took the guided raft ride down the Ausable River. The gorge and falls were spectacular! The Ausable Chasm does charge for access to the gorge and river tubing and rafting, be sure to check with the folks at Ausable Chasm for hours and rates. You can get a good view of the falls from the bridge on the road without paying admission.
