Watkins Glen State Park

Watkins Glen State Park is one of the best waterfall locations in the world. However, today we visited in early spring and the best waterfall trails were closed. We accessed the park through both the north and south entrances and were able enjoy a hike and the picnic and playground area.

The best times to visit Watkins Glen State Park are between Memorial Day and Labor Day, when the Gorge Trail and other trails are all open. The park and trails can get rather crowded, especially on weekends. To get the best views of the waterfalls, be sure to arrive early.
